I am in love with you….

I never thought I would fall for someone so deeply…. It was a magic that I experienced on spending time with you…. You made me calm and fulfill me with peace…. I just can’t forget the treat that you gave me……..

Do you know what I am talking about…. Guys… I am talking about Niagara falls…. Omg!!! I can’t tell how amazing was the trip and I love each and every moment of those days….

So let me share my awesome experience at Niagara falls, New York….

HOTEL CHECK IN

We had booked rooms in the hotel comfort inn, The pointe which was the nearest hotel from the falls. The main reason for taking nearby hotel is my toddler boy. If we want any sort of emergency, hotel nearby makes you feel better and less tensed. I am impressed about the facilities in the room. We had got 2 queen bedroom.

They provide

• OVEN
• COFFEE MAKER
• MINI FRIDGE
• IRON BOX WITH IRONING TABLE

The room was spacious and my toddler had got enough space to walk around. The facilities in the room was amazing and let me tell you the most exciting thing was that  they provide morning breakfast buffet. Isn’t that so cool???

So lets start the journey….

THINGS YOU MUST TAKE BEFORE ENTERING CAVE OF THE WINDS AND MAID OF MIST

• Waterproof head cover
• Towel
• Water proof camera

CAVE OF THE WINDS

Getting tickets and journey towards the cave of the winds was a bit longer. You can take tickets from the counter for cave of the winds alone or the discovery pass.

The discovery pass includes

• Maid of the mist
• Cave of the winds
• Discovery center
• Aquarium of Niagara
• Observation tower
• Scenic trolley
• Adventure theatre

We took the tickets of cave of the winds and wait for our batch of people to enter. They will call the numbers for each batch (Number is given in the tickets). After that there will be a photo session (You can skip this if you are not interested). Then we get into a room where the history of Niagara falls were explained. Finally our lift opened and the guy inside gave an idea about what is going to happen. On reaching near the cave of winds, we can get a poncho (raincoat). The coat for kids sometimes make them annoying). So take a head cover along with coat provided from there.

Cave of winds is arranged like a U shaped up and down stairs. Here, you can stand next to the thundering bridal veil falls if you descend to the Niagara gorge. You can experience the exhilaration of the falls cascading over you on the Hurricane Deck.

After that we dried our hair and removed the raincoats in the trash given.

MAID OF THE MIST

Next day, we get into the boat ride which takes us to the heart of American and Horseshoe Falls. They also will give you a poncho (raincoat) before entering the boat.

You should know that you are going for a splash of water and get ready to feel the legendary thunderous roar of the falls. Everyone was roaring when we reached near the falls. Omg! That was an amazing feeling….

CROW’S NEST

From the base of Gorge, we can climb a series of stairs along the vertical edge of the American falls to make all our senses alive.

OBSERVATION TOWER

This will be a treat to our eyes to view the American, Horseshoe and Bridal veil falls at the same time. We can get amazing pics of the falls from here.

PROSPECT POINT

Here, you can feel the mist across your face on watching the rapids of the Niagara River hurtle over the American Falls.

TERRAPIN POINT

I loved the evening time we spend next to the powerful horseshoe falls. Top of the falls restaurant operates occasionally and I think it was closed when we reached there.

But still I am not bothered about that because all the worries gets washed away in Niagara falls.

THREE SISTER ISLANDS

After seeing so much exciting things, three sisters islands looks like a starter dish in the buffet (hi…hi…!). There were three historic bridges that leads you to the unique views of the upper rapids as the water races for the falls.

LUNA ISLAND

Luna island is nestled between the American and Bridal veil falls. It gives an interesting view of the handsome falls.

ILLUMINATION AND FIREWORKS

Colorful illuminations makes the Niagara falls shine at night. We get a better view of illumination from the Prospect point and Terrapin point. Because of our bad luck, there were no fireworks on that day and that was a real missing. But still the time spend at the Prospect point was an awesome experience. There are schedules for illumination and fireworks. Maybe due to the bad weather conditions, the fireworks was cancelled.

SCENIC TROLLEY

There are trolleys (just like trains/buses) to take us from one place to another. We took the tickets of scenic trolley on the last day and turn around the whole area. You have to wear the yellow band to get inside the trolley.

VISITOR CENTER

If you want to cherish the memories of Niagara falls, then you can buy gifts from the visitor center. There are also other entertaining ideas inside the visitor center like creating souvenir pennies (which we tried), various shows, etc….

So that was my journey to Niagara falls, New York…. I enjoyed a lot and never wanted to come back….
